Companies are free to establish their own policies because there are no legal articles that forbid tattoos in the workplace. Therefore, it is up to the employer to decide whether to permit it. While some professions are more tolerant of tattoos than others, those who forbid them are typically pretty strict and unyielding in their enforcement.
